BIOENGINEERING ACTIVITIES FAIR

BioEmpower worked in collaboration with BMES and the Assistant Director of Pre-College Outreach & Recruitment, Priscilla Yoon to host the first annual Bioengineering Activities Fair. Students from all over the greater Seattle area participated in modules designed to show them the breadth of the bioengineering field. They learned about ultrasound, nanoparticles, neural engineering, and more! Check out our gallery for pictures of the event!

MATH ACADEMY

BioEmpower members taught rising high school seniors about the engineering design process through a guided Prosthetic Research Project. They learned about needs assessment, market analysis, how to do a literature summary review, computer-aided design, 3D printing, prototyping skills, and computational testing. They presented their research projects to their peers and families at the end of the program.

STARS - "WHAT IS BIOE?"

BioEmpower hosted an informational session for sophmore STARS students.  During this event, they presented student perspectives about the program. The students also had the opportunity to interact with BioE professors. The event concluded with an activities fair.
